The live site

The build

NICH Cycling sells premium carbon competition bikes direct to New Zealand riders: road, time trial, gravel and mountain. The site carries the range, the pages for each kind of rider, and a way to work out which frame and build suits the person reading.

Underneath it is a lead pipeline rather than a brochure. An enquiry reaches the founder with the bike it came from attached, and a chatbot answers the questions that come before that, inside guardrails written for a business that quotes real money.

How it works

Next.js and TypeScript on Vercel. A recommender maps rider type to frame and build, every enquiry carries the bike it came from, and a chatbot answers pre-sale questions inside guardrails.

What it does for them

A rider gets to a frame that suits them without waiting for a reply, and the founder opens enquiries that already name the bike.

The brand

A premium brand with a family behind it, direct from Thailand.

Look
Near-white and cream with near-black, one orange accent used sparingly, and a bold display face. Premium and clean, not a bike-shop catalogue.
Feel
No middleman between builder and rider: frames direct from the maker, in colours painted by Thai artisans.
Story
A father and his sons. Kevin Cantwell started triathlon at 70 and still races at 75; three of his four sons compete in triathlon, and one of them introduced him to the master frame builder in Thailand.
